Our Sweet Marie Zine & Marie's Danse des Fleurs Event

I am please to present OUR SWEET MARIE!

WOW. . . . Deep sigh! The vision for the zine started way back in February of this year. And here it is! Thank you, tHaNK yOU, THANK YOU! To Andrea Melione for all her hard work, to the talented members of Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group, and to all the fabulous artist who submitted their wonderful creations. I tried to squeeze in as much as I could. With out you, your art, and your encouragement, there would not be a zine to share. I know that originally it was said this would be a bi-yearly zine, HOWEVER I am sad to say, that just is not possible. lol There was a lot of work put into it, and with a little one, this will be the ONE AND ONLY! :) We made it extra large for you though! The final page count is 71 pages! That is 71 pages of lovely Marie art and ideas! I hope you like it!

TO DOWNLOAD THE ZINE CLICK THE ABOVE IMAGE OR CLICK . . . . HERE

I AM ALSO PLEASE TO SHARE WITH YOU MY SAVE THE DATE!

Marie's Danse des Fleurs will be an amazing Marie Antoinette inspired art retreat in sunny Florida (that's right a break from the snow!) ! This will be a 3 day event complete with a GRAND BALL and Marie Antoinette Costume Contest! Picture yourself dolled up with the sweet smell of chocolate and pastries in the air, the sound of music filling the room while bubbling champagne circles around you. The event will be held on Feb 25th through the 27th in 2011. Let me tell ya, Florida weather in February is divine!

The event will be held at an award winning resort setting with luxury accommodations and facilities, including year round golf at one of two Arnold Palmer Signature Courses, 45 tennis courts in every grand slam surface, a European Style Spa, and five premier dining and restaurant options. And the pool is amazing! SO BRING THE FAMILY. There is so much to do you could make this a family vacation! Let the family play while you enjoy your inspiring art event. The resort is just 30 minutes from the Tampa airport and right in the middle of EVERYTHING. Beach, shopping, Orlando, Theme Parks all just minutes away!

But don't get too busy, because you are not going to want to miss one minute of this event! I am proud to announce the very talented ladies who will be teaching at your event . . . .

Jennifer Hayslip and Heidi Wallingford! And WOW you should see the projects they have in store for you! AMAZING! I will also be teaching a class myself, and I promise you are gonna love it! These will not be your regular wand, crown, and fan swaps, they will be fun, they will be unique, and they might even challenge you just a little.

Many of you may already know Jennifer from your lovely shop Sweet Eye Candy Creations, or from one of her very own AMAZING events such as En Le Jardin, or the up and coming Petticoats and Parasols.

Heidi is also one of our very own talented Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group members! You may also know her from her Birds of a Feather shop. Heidi has also taught and held a number of events including her up and coming Holiday Cone Party Paper Craft and Art Event. She will also be teaching at Art Opera in April 2010.

For those of you attending Silver Belle you will also have a chance to meet these talented ladies there.

This event is going to be full of over the top food, classes, and fun, because Marie would not have it any other way! So mark your calendar, pick up a image button above for your blog, keep an eye out for updates, and start shopping for a gown (costumes are not required) because you are not going to want to miss this!

LASTLY . . . OUR WINNER FOR THE ZINE CELEBRATION IS . . . TERRI FROM BLOOMING IDEAS! Congrats Terri! I will be emailing you for your address! Thanks again to everyone who visited and for all your kind comments, patience and support!

Wow! Beautiful! I just skimmed through this lovely zine (I'll go back and really read it later). Congratulations on such an accomplishment.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that the artists featured actually used images of Marie-Antoinette or images that referenced the 18th century. Stampington's M-A publication was riddled with Victorian images that had nothing to do with M-A or the 18th century, and the whole magazine was ruined for me. I'm a stickler (geek) for detail that way.

Thank you for sharing this fabulous zine - and congratulations to everyone involved in producing such wonderful eye candy.
