The Haunted Masquerade Blog Event

I know it is a little early, but I am just so excited. I have decided to do a "Haunted Masquerade Blog Event". I am super excited and just could not wait to tell you about it. The idea came to me when I was making plans for my Marie group to have something fun for the Halloween season. As I was thinking I came up with all kinds of different ideas for swaps such as Trick or Treat bags, a mask swap, and different ideas for costume swaps. I tried to think how I could incorporate Marie into the holiday season and then it hit me, DUH . . . a Masquerade! In order to give the swap players enough time to sign up and create, my event is planned for them to start in Aug.

So while planning this I thought that a blog event would be so much fun! So here are the details. The idea is that everyone host their own "Haunted Masquerade " on their blog on Oct. 24th . You can do your party however you would like. You can display, create, share, and giveaway anything that inspires you. What comes to your mind when you think . . . Masquerade?

Phantom of the Opera

When I think of a Masquerade I picture colors such as amber, gold, silver, and black. I can picture the room being warm from all the candle light. I would love to go to a grand ball and see everyone dressed in elegant gowns with beautiful satin and silky materials with jewels galore. The sky would be dark with diamond like stars, and perhaps I might Waltz under the moon light. The sweet smell of perfumes and pastries filling the air inside. The beautiful paintings and gold moldings adoring the ceiling and walls. Photo by maoycaza

Everything would sparkle and shin with jewels and crystals. And what fun it would be admire each wonderful detailed mask.

And how fun it would be to imagine the mysterious unwanted guest, and eyes shifting in the paintings. The spider webs hanging in the corner, and the poisonous goblet of wine.

If you would like to join me in the celebration post a comment blog with your blog name and address and I will keep a list in my sidebar. Feel free to use either the larger ad, or the small blog button to the left, and be sure to leave your comment below. You can attach this link to the image: http://myartfuladventures.blogspot.com/2009/07/haunted-masquerade-blog-event.html

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S I will also be adding the above collage sheet I created to my Etsy store very soon.

Hi Cassandra! This is Sares from Loveleigh Treasures. I was wondering if you could possibly change my blog link for the party from Loveleigh Treasures to my new "party" blog, Loveleigh Occasions. The link is http://loveleighoccasions.blogspot.
com. The link is also on my profile page. Thanks so much, if it's a big hassle, no worries, I'll just shoo everyone over to the Occasions blog on party day! I can't wait!

I am thrilled to be involved in this event! I was curious to know if you have a button that we can put on our blog to encourage others to join. I could copy and save your 'flyer' and post to my blog as well. Let me know.
